BTBG Ch. 2: Here Comes LilyA bit over a month later
Erika and Chloe sat in the library, relaxing and reading in the light of the rising sun streaming in from the giant windows. The door opened and in walked Harmony. She walked up to one of the many bookshelves, chose a book, and curled up in a chair bathed in sunlight.
Chloe smiled, "She's just like a cat. Likes to curl up in warm places."
Cytheria (Cindy) burst through the doors, her eyes ablaze, "Harmony! Why did you touch my jacket?! And Eww! You're wearing it! Get your filthy body away from my clothes!" Cindy was standing above Harmony in moments and ripping the jacket and Harmony's skin off her. Harmony's wails of pain filled the Library.
It took 5 seconds flat for a fuming Caelyn to be by Harmony's side, shoving Cindy away, "You You Meanie! Leave my best friend alone!"
"How could you be best friends with that ugly weakling?!" Cindy sneered but then her face softened, "It's okay, since you're just a dumb baby, you made a stupid
BTBG Ch. 1: Before the DarknessTwo women sat in the shade of a cherry blossom tree. Three kids were playing in front of them. A large black iron gate protected them from the rest of the island, from the rest of the world.
One of the younger children ran up to one of the women. The woman had cinnamon brown hair and kind of pale skin. The little girl tugged at the woman's pants and said, "Mommy! Someone didn't leave after autographs!" she looked up at her mother, Erika, expectedly. Erika stood up and glaring at the man staring greedily at her and Chloe's children, "Leave!" She said, and then fell back.
Erika and Chloe were both seven months pregnant. The men left and her daughter, Monday, returned to play with the other children.
Chloe looked up from her laptop, her colorful eyes staring, "What do you think that could be?" she asked.
Erika just shrugged. The people of the island usually just left after autographs, even people who went there just to get an autograph did that. Suddenly a girl ran out of one of the other
BTBG: AlexandraTrevor Clark was the best snow boarder of all of his friends. Too bad it would never get him anywhere. Right now he was on summer break, doing what he loved most: snowboarding.
He was getting ready to go down the double black diamond; no one was there except a 15 year old girl with matching pink and purple gear.
He set off and so did she. She seemed to be concentrating and making strange motions with her hands.
Near the bottom of the slope the snow underneath him became very icy, like he was ice boarding and not snowboarding.
Then he slipped and skidded into the girl's path. He managed to hold onto the steep slope and she flew into the air, using him as ramp. When she landed she swerved around and stopped.
The girl reached up and took off her helmet, letting her beautiful light brown hair which faded into sun streaks fall free. Her eyes met his and she froze. He slowly stood up and she smiled dreamily.
"S-sorry." She blushed, "I was going too fast to stop are you okay?"
BTBG: ErikaShawn rode the bus to arts camp. Everyone said he wasn't good and couldn't make it big. I'll show them, he thought as the bus bumped into the dirt driveway. All the kids on the bus said there was some special guest star coming to teach them songwriting. Kids were chattering as they filed out into the parkway.
Immediately he took his stuff to a lone cabin with a small porch. Placing his stuff down inside, he took his guitar off his back and out of its case. Heading out to the porch, Shawn sat down and strummed.
A girl in a thick black hoodie was escorted out of a bus and to a cabin overlooking the beach. She threw her suitcase open and pulled out thin short clothes. The thick clothes she was wearing would not suit this California camp.
After she was done, she decided to walk around and find someone to talk to. That's when she heard the most awful singing ever!
Running over to the screech she found two girls. One was playing keyboard and the other was making the horrid noise.
"You call t
BTBG: ChloeMaxwell Braxton, just 18, and trying to make money to get to college while working at his parents' local restaurant, had never thought he'd make millions someday. But when the cute 18 year old girl came into the restaurant. He suddenly felt like his eyes couldn't leave her, something enthralled him about her, maybe it was the notebook stuffed full of papers sticking out of her purse, her big colorful eyes that seemed to look everywhere at once, or her pale skin which so contradicted her hair that looked dark brown but glowed like red sun rays when she passed through the evening light that streamed through the windows, but she seemed to avoid the light and sat in a back dark corner, away from the chatting teens that were all gathered near the center.
His feet were carrying him toward her before he even knew what he was doing. For the first time his throat constricted and he suddenly felt at a loss for words, like this girl has sucked all the words out of the air, like one imagined she c
Beyond The Black Gate-BTBG-: DestinyDevin Johnson never made much money, working when he was 15 as an apprentice for a snooty rich "artist" who everyone claimed was so unique. But one day a 15 year old girl walked in and laughed at the rich "artist"'s work, claiming "My sister could do better than this in her sleep!"
He was outraged and had a fit, but she kept perusing, rolling her eyes at some of the "finest" of his work, but when she came to the backroom, where Devin kept his "ugly" sculptures and paintings, she was awestruck and invited him to go to lunch with her. He agreed, knowing he was never needed when the gallery was open. Not once did Devin ask her what her name was, and they spent many hours discussing good art over their meal. When she claimed she had to leave, he felt his heart tearing and quickly jumped up, asking her for her number. She blushed and pulled out her notepad, jotted down her number and ripped it out and handing it to him. He smiled and went back to the gallery, feeling light hearted and happy
Twelve Moments In The Dead Of Summer1. The sunlight glistens on her wet skin as she's walking towards the beach. He has never seen anything so beautiful in his life and even if the words seem to dry up in his throat, he knows what he is going to do next.
2. It hasn't rained for months now so it only takes a small spark from the cigarette to set the undergrowth on fire. On the first sign of fire they panic and run, never to look back but to remember years later, in nightmares, the crazy old man who lived in the shack nearby and was never seen since.
3. They lay together on the grass, watching the sun slowly go down behind the treeline. He takes her hand, old, wrinkled and frail into his, and whispers: "I would give up everything I have for one more summer like this". She responds: "Darling, you already did that years ago". They burst into giggles, just like the one he was supposed to take her dancing for the first time and got lost on the way, and it seems that all these years haven't changed anything at all.
4. The thorn
